Teaching philosophy
My goals are to teach my student to play piano and to know and love music and, at the same time, use the process of learning as a tool in the development of important skills that are useful at school, college and work. This includes persistence, the ability to learn and concentrate, being comfortable in front of an audience, and self-esteem.
My on-going mission is to:
- Teach students of different ages starting from 5 years old and adults
- Choose musical compositions taking into account student’s interest, age and background
- Select composition of different complexity depending on the student’s skills
- Promote students’ progress by presenting them with compositions of gradual increased complexity
- Build student’s confidence by organizing recitals where they can play for each other, their parents and friends
- Prepare students to perform in piano competitions
